SKYE

SKYE

At the crack of dawn, I made my way to the edge of Applecross, on Scotland’s rugged West Coast, driven by photographing the Cuillin Mountains on the Isle of Skye towering over the waters of the Inner Sound. Yet, the elements had their own plans. Relentless rain and thick cloud cover concealed the land and seascape, testing my patience. Still, this was a great location so I held my ground, waiting for the moment the world would unveil itself. A full twenty-four hours passed in hopeful anticipation. Then, with the break of a new dawn, it happened, a fleeting, magical moment. For just five minutes, the clouds parted, revealing two majestic peaks, framed by the meeting of land, sea, and sky.
