I photographed artist Peter Vigor sitting quietly at home, surrounded by the artefacts of a lifetime spent creating. In a setting embrace with natural light, filtered through an unseen window that illuminated his figure, casting subtle shadows that seem to soften the years yet amplify the depth of time. He gazed, directed toward something just beyond the frame, holding him in a contemplative stillness. A un-rushed moment lost in his thoughts, maybe reflecting on his ninety years of creative endeavours, maybe tracing the invisible threads that connect his past with the present. As though echoing his thoughts, each piece of artwork a reflection of a world only he fully understands. There's almost a painterly quality to the photograph that evokes the feeling of an old master's self-portrait. It speaks of the quiet wisdom that often comes with age, the kind of introspection that doesn't seek to explain, but simply to be. This is a moment suspended in time, a  brief pause in a life lived in the quiet pursuit of meaning.
