STUDIO POLICIES
Copyright & Licensing
The photographic works presented on this website remain the intellectual property of the
photographer and OPENPAGE STUDIO.
The following terms outline how images may be purchased, licensed, and reproduced.
1. Copyright Ownership
All photographs displayed on this website remain the copyright of the photographer and/or OPENPAGE STUDIO. Copyright is not transferred when an image is licensed or when a photographic print is purchased. All rights are reserved unless otherwise stated.
2. Image Licensing
Images made available through OPENPAGE STUDIO are licensed on a rights‑managed basis. A licence specifies how an image may be used and typically defines the permitted use, the media in which the image may appear, the geographic territory, the duration of use, and whether the licence is exclusive or non‑exclusive.
Any use outside the agreed licence requires written permission from OPENPAGE STUDIO.
3. Purchase of Photographic Prints
Printed photographs sold through our websites are supplied for personal display only. Purchase of a photographic print does not transfer copyright and does not permit reproduction, copying, scanning, publishing, or commercial use of the image without written permission from OPENPAGE STUDIO.
4. Alteration and Manipulation
Photographs must not be altered, cropped, manipulated, or modified in any way without the prior written permission of OPENPAGE STUDIO and the photographer. This includes digital alteration, compositing, or any use that materially changes the original photographic work.
5. Credit Lines
Where an image is reproduced editorially, the photographer should be credited in the following format:
© Photographer Name / OPENPAGE
The credit line should appear adjacent to the image or within the publication’s acknowledgements or credits section where appropriate.
6. Model and Property Releases
Many photographs represent documentary photography of public life and places. Unless specifically stated in writing, model releases or property releases may not exist for particular images.
It is the responsibility of the licensee to ensure that the intended use of an image complies with applicable laws and permissions relating to people, property, trademarks, or other protected rights.
7. Licence Fees
Licence fees are determined according to the intended use of the image. Factors may include the media in which the image will appear, reproduction size, distribution territory, print run or audience size, and whether exclusivity is requested.
