POWERHOUSE - fine art photography prints

Standing at the very brink of a wild Cornish cliff top. I didn’t want to merely capture the scene. I wanted to feel its breath, and be swallowed up in the natural drama.
 
No long-distance telephoto lens for me, I wanted to get up close and personal. So, I descended the steep Cornish cliffs, pushing forward until I reached the point where I could go no further, standing on the very edge above sea and rock. I wanted to feel the raw elements in both myself and my shot. There, across from the abandoned remnants of the Tin Mine pumping stations, the sense of power was undeniable. The ocean’s weight pressed against the unyielding rocks, making these relics of industrial heritage seem precarious against the vast, untamed seascape. I inhaled the salt-laden air, waiting as the shifting living light played between the clouds, until at last, it bathed the water and poured its glow onto the land and into my frame.
