MOMENTS
in colour & light
The Complete Series
by Chris Page
2026
This series gathers twenty four photographs made over time, across places and among people, united not by subject
but by a way of seeing in which colour and light become the substance of the image.
Each photograph records a moment encountered rather than arranged, a convergence of illumination, atmosphere,
and presence that revealed itself briefly and then passed.
Working in colour allows these moments to remain within the world rather than apart from it. Rather than describing the scene,
colour here reveals it, carrying atmosphere, temperature, distance, and emotion. Light shapes space, dissolves edges,
and allows forms to emerge gradually from within the frame. What appears vivid at first often proves restrained;
what seems quiet may hold the greatest intensity.
Presented here as a complete body of work, the photographs are intended to be experienced slowly,
as a sequence rather than as individual statements. Connections emerge gradually, between
clarity and ambiguity, proximity and distance, warmth and stillness.
These are not images of colour alone, but of light made visible, of time perceived through its passing.

These photographs form the editioned print series from MOMENTS in colour & light, presented here as a complete body of work.
Within the paired book edition MOMENTS in black & white and MOMENTS in colour & light, the series expands
to include additional photographs and extended reflections on their making, offering a broader
and more contemplative encounter with the project.
Seen on the printed page rather than on the wall, the images unfold more slowly, inviting
a sustained engagement with the quiet intervals from which they emerged.
