INHERITANCE

by Mike Rossi

2018

What do we inherit, and what do we pass on?

Photographed within the informal settlements of South Africa, this body of work centres on the people who inhabit these spaces. Personality and circumstance emerge through gesture and domestic detail.

Inheritance is framed not as spectacle, but as witness, an engagement with lives observed with dignity and restraint.

MOMENTS

in black & white

by Chris Page

2026

A sustained study in monochrome.

Form, shadow and gesture carry the weight of each image. Without colour to persuade the eye, attention settles on structure and atmosphere.

MOMENTS in black & white gathers photographs made over years of observation, where restraint becomes narrative and stillness holds presence.

MOMENTS

in colour & light

by Chris Page

2026

A companion body of work where colour is observed rather than amplified.

Light becomes atmosphere; hue becomes emotional register. Composition remains deliberate, while the chromatic field introduces a different sensitivity.

MOMENTS in colour & light reflects on memory and encounter through the quiet language of colour.

SHADOWS OVER STONES

by Mike Rossi

2012

In 2005 Mike Rossi began photographing the rock formations and open landscapes of South Africa under vast shifting skies.

Working in black & white negative film with a Hasselblad Xpan, he pursued scale, weather and geological presence across remote terrain. The work was later exhibited at the Nedbank Clock Tower Building, Cape Town.

Shadows Over Stones reflects a sustained engagement with land, light and the passage of time.
