THE MOMENTS COLLECTION

Two works. One project
MOMENTS is an ongoing exploration of how photographs are encountered, remembered and understood.
Developed over several years, the project comprises two distinct bodies of work: one in black & white and one in colour & light. While each follows its own visual logic, both arise
from the same practice of observation and reflection.
Rather than documenting a single subject or place, the photographs draw together fragments of experience, moments of recognition and quiet encounters gathered over time.
The two collections are intended to be viewed independently, yet together they form a broader meditation on perception, memory and the act of looking
Two distinct bodies of work

The Background
MOMENTS was created in response to the increasingly rapid consumption of photographs in contemporary life.
The project asks what might happen when images are
given time rather than attention measured in seconds.
Each photograph is intended not as content to be scrolled past, but as a place to pause, reflect and look again.
Presented as two separate collections, MOMENTS in black & white and MOMENTS in colour & light offer different ways of engaging with the photographic image. One reduces the
world to tone, structure and presence; the other
explores atmosphere, ambiguity and the
shifting nature of colour itself.
Together they form a single project concerned with observation, memory and the enduring capacity
of photographs to reveal more than they
first appear to show.
