MOMENTS in black & white
Selected Pages from the Book

Photography, for me, has always felt closer to fishing than hunting.
Images emerge through wandering, waiting and attention.
The photographs within MOMENTS in black & white were developed slowly through observation and return;
fleeting moments where light, shadow, gesture and presence briefly aligned.
By setting colour aside, the image is reduced to tone, structure and atmosphere. The world becomes quieter.
Space opens for ambiguity and imagination to take hold.
These images are not intended to describe completely. They withhold, suggest and leave room for the viewer
to enter the photograph for themselves.
They ask to be encountered slowly,
through silence, patience and time.

Printed on archival materials and produced in carefully controlled editions, each volume has been developed as a physical
extension of the photographic work itself.
Considerable attention has been given to sequencing, typography, paper selection and binding, allowing the books
to be experienced slowly and over time.
The books are available in three carefully produced editions, each offering a different relationship to the work.
