Within a tight point of view, forms and colour drift in and out of sight across the frozen ice. A fluid dance emerges through moments of light, shadow, and reflection. Nothing settles for long; the seen resists certainty.
The surface holds firm. It is the skaters who refuse to settle, their presence momentary, never quite contained.
Holding my position in quiet anticipation, a slow shutter set, I wait. Then a sudden flash of red. The static is held, movement dissolved, an abstract moment contained within a single exposure.
